Otenu is an orphaned Villager capable of seeing ghosts, who lives in the small village northwest of Gelibord visited during the Quests A Headless History and Lazarus Pit. He can be found on the upper floor of the western house of the village, which once belonged to the Villager noble Poclo Wabblebuff of Gelibord.
Dialogue
- Otenu: Hello there, tall human! Mrs. Fluffles seems to like you!
- Otenu: What? You don't see her– she's right next to you, just like mama and papa are–
- Otenu: Oh, wait. I forgot. You can't see ghosts! I keep forgetting that...
- Otenu: Huh? Why do you look so worried? I'm a big boy, I'm almost nine! And Mister Hans is looking after me too.
- Otenu: And the nice wizard would help me if I asked, I bet. They did last time!
- Otenu: Oh, you don't know? They live in the tower down the road. They helped me learn to see ghosts, cause I missed papa.
- Otenu: I even gave them a pinwheel to put out front to match mine! I bet you could learn something if you visited them.
Trivia
- The Mrs. Fluffles Otenu refers to is Poclo Wabblebuff's long-deceased cat, whose skeleton is found in the basement of the house during the Lazarus Pit Quest.
- Prior to the quest being reworked in Version 1.20, Otenu was the son of Irahe and was involved in The Headless Hunt.
